'An engaging and even inspiring read for any enthusiast of the period, and most particularly the spirit of social reform that characterises it.'
A quick note about a review that has gone up on the History Today website, as part of their new iniative to get their readers reviewing the latest history books. We're very pleased and proud that one of the first books to receive this treatment is our very own The Excellent Mrs Fry: Unlikely Heroine by Anne Isba.
The reviewer in question is Emily Brand, a fan of the Georgian period who blogs here about satirical prints from the time. She's about one that features Elizabeth Fry in her latest post, so if you're interested in our book, you might want to have a read.
